• Prof. Emeritus Marie Cheung
• Canadian MPs Garnett Genuis and Dan Muys
• Lawyer David Matas
• Dr. Andreas Weber
• and others
With the upcoming G7 summit in Canada (16–17 June), now is a crucial moment for democratic governments to show courage and stand up for the values of human rights and dignity.

VIRTUAL EVENT
“Leadership Means Courage to Act — Call Upon China to End Forced Organ Harvesting from Falun Gong,”
Professor Emeritus Maria Cheung, Mr. Garnett Genuis, MP, Mr. Dan Muys, MP, Mr. William Huang , Mr. David Matas and Dr. Andreas Weber.
Doctors Against Forced Organ Harvesting (DAFOH) will host a virtual round table discussion to mark the 1st anniversary of the international G7+7 Petition to stop forced organ harvesting and inspire the G7 leaders to call out the Chinese regime and initiate investigations.
As world leaders prepare to attend the G-7 summit in Canada, 16-17 June, 2025, there is a significant opportunity to affirm an unwavering truth: The governments of G7 countries are elected bodies, and as such, are meant to serve their constituents. To respect human rights, human dignity, and the sanctity of life is not only a duty for these governments, but also the pinnacle of service to their people and to humankind.
The Universal Declaration of Human Rights, a cornerstone of global ethics, underscores the inviolability of human life and the security of the individual. The principles therein are not mere political positions; they are fundamental rights inherent to every individual on this planet.
Yet these rights are being egregiously violated by the perpetrators of forced organ harvesting in China—a heinous act orchestrated by the Chinese state against Falun Gong practitioners for the past 25 years. The regime’s intent is to extinguish these peaceful citizens and their belief in the principles of truthfulness, compassion, and forbearance.
For more than 25 years, Chinese Communist Party (CCP) propaganda, as well as political and financial incentives, have deceived the public, forcing many in the international community, NGOs and media into self-censorship on the Chinese state’s crimes against humanity.
The CCP is attempting to silence the hearts and minds of over 8 billion people, but this tyranny cannot succeed if we refuse to be silenced. The G7+7 Petition will continue to gather support and signatures until forced organ harvesting in China or anywhere else has stopped and those responsible condemned.
The G7 + 7 Petition follows a previous DAFOH petition, signed by over 3 million people across 50 countries, that urged the UN High Commissioner (UNHC) for Human Rights to urgently také action to address forced organ harvesting in China. The UNHC did not respond so we turn nowto our elected world leaders to act.
People who learn about these crimes are appalled by the lack of international action in adequately addressing China’s transplant crimes. The people who signed our petition want their governments to stand up for what is right and protect innocent lives, including Falun Gong practitioners, Uyghurs, and other prisoners of conscience in China.
Dr. Torsten Trey, Executive Director of DAFOH, said, “After more than two decades of killing Falun Gong practitioners for organs in an unrelenting genocide by attrition, we are faced with an urgent matter of conscience: will we remain silent and embolden the perpetrator in Beijing, or will we take a courageous stand and say firmly that no human being should be killed for his or her organs, and no country, including China, should be allowed to get away with this crime against humanity. For human dignity to prevail in this world, we must stop forced organ harvesting now.”
The G7 + 7 Petition will be presented to the respective government leaders and calls for investigations “to determine accountability for any acts contrary to the provisions of the Genocide Convention committed against Falun Gong practitioners, Uyghurs and others in the PRC.”
