Baťa was a "fighter", determined to preserve his business and his people regardless of British misunderstanding or hostility. He was the opponent of the Munich capitulation. His opinion was that the country should have fought.
Baťa používal rozum. Prosadil jej ku prospěchu firmy, spolupracovníků i země. Nepotřeboval k tomu zákony, předpisy a nařízení. Ty měli díky jeho systému spolupracovníci v sobě. Chceme-li, být úspěšní, stačí převzít a realizovat systém Baťa.
Jejich syna, Jana V. Rotta, jsem znal. Žil ve Švýcarsku, v Curychu. Pomáhal jsem mu s restitucí budovy slavného železářství, provoz chtěl obnovit. Dopadl jako Jan A. Baťa. Podivnou roli v restituci sehrála rodina bývalého senátora Edvarda Outraty.
This was not improvised; by 1938–39, the Baťa organization had established a structured rescue network that ultimately enabled thousands of people to escape during one of the most dangerous periods in modern history.
Few films in history carry no copyright yet change the course of public awareness. Without Baťa’s resources, personnel, and approval, this landmark warning against Nazi aggression would never have seen the light of day.
